Stormont: Leader Thank you Event

Articles Published on 25 Mar 2025
What a great night saying THANK YOU to our volunteer leaders.
Over 140 of our volunteers gathered 'up the hill' in the magnificent Parliament Buildings at Stormont as we hosted a night which was simply to say 'thank you'.
The event opened with some words of thanks from our CO Lisa Keys who spoke about the amazing work of the volunteers. She also acknowledged the support of the Department of Education and the Education Authority (Northern Ireland) and the opportunities they provide for BBNI to advocate for children and young people and feed into the policy review and regional assessment of need, in addition to providing much needed funding to support our work with over 11,300 children and young people.
Our President Mark Smyth shared some memories of his time in BB and challenged the leaders to keep on doing what they do as he thanked them for their tireless work.
Following the speeches our guests were given a tour from wonderful Stormont staff before meeting in the Long Gallery for delicious refreshments.
It was truly a wonderful night and a brilliant opportunity to socialise with fellow leaders and celebrate the work they do.
Thank you leaders!
